Hey guys, I am downloading DirectX 9.0 from the internet now. I had DirectX 8.0 and what is the difference between DirectX 8.0 and DirectX 9.0??????? I would like to have DirectX 9a.

DVD Copying software!!!

What is the best DVD copy software out there??? I just got a DVD burner & so far all the copy software I find is if I want to copy the DVD to a regular CD-R. .

windows media player 9

I have noticed that windows media player 9 modifies some files that I use it to play (as I have some folder in view by modified mode). What is it doing? I have turned off all the identify player/ phone microsoft crap, but it seems the only way I can stop it doing this is make a file read only before playing it in wmp9.

i just installed this and when i open the mainboard info module it crtashes and causes winxp home to restart my pc. . . . . the only way i could open that module was to uncheck the enable mainboard info on the module.

I currently use kazaa lite for my peer 2 peer type downloading activity, but was wondering does anyone recomend any other programs (preferably ones without spyware)? Also what about download managers, which ones are the best, again without spyware? Thanks

I was surfing a site when i came across a discussion on best lyrics plugin for Winamp2. I tried all the mentioned there (i think there were 4 of them) and after a hour i was able to pick a winner - LYRICFIND.

New nforce drivers!

Soltek has some nforce 2.05 drivers on their site. According to the readme, most of the files are newer than the 2.03's. Havent caused any corruption yet like the 2.

DvdXCopy registration issue

After I have installed dvdxcopy 1.5.2, the option to register by telephone is not there. I cannot locate any files that have been copied to my harddrive that may contain registration information.

Well the problem is there is once driver the 644 that is from 3-28-2002 but then there is a 643 driver that is from 11-27-2002 but 643 is a older version? What one do you think I should use?
