Altec Lansing YO302WHT Headphones Review

As Apple iPod gets more popular and it being the 50 percent market share holder of the portable audio players, it makes sense for companies to produce products for the iPod. Of course the choice of products is fairly limited as iPod comes in a very narrow market segment, however, that hasn't stopped numerous companies from producing different accessories for Apple's portable music wonder. Altec Lansing recently entered the market with few products that are solely designed for the iPod.

Sapphire Radeon X800 XT ViVo 256MB (500/500 AGP) Review @ Beyond3D

Published by Newsfactory 0

When ATI initially introduced the AGP Radeon X800?s only X800 XT Platinum Edition and X800 PRO?s were introduced, which left many wondering if there would be a standard X800 XT edition. Although a PCI Express X800 XT (500/500) configurations was announced, ATI were initially adamant that there wouldn?t be one for AGP - now, though, they are relenting on this and state that they are giving their vendors the freedom to cross the AGP and PCI Express lines, giving rise to the X800 XT (500/500) for AGP. Today Beyond3D is looking at one of the first boards in this configurations to hit the market, the Sapphire Radeon X800 XT ViVo 256MB.

OCIA.net has posted a review of the AeroCool VM-101 Fanless VGA Cooler. Below is a direct quote from the review:

That ZIF socket sure is closer to the AGP slot than on my last board... this one being the MSI K8N Neo Platinum. Fortunately, I don't use any PCI cards, so putting it on backwards wouldn't be an issue, and it would prove convenient later..

DFI K8M800-MLVF System Board Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

DFI is famous for their Lanparty series of motherboards, however they do make other types of motherboards... of course. HTPCnews decided to give one of their "other" motherboards a try, the K8M800 mATX motherboard, and they lived to tell a story about it. Does it's quality and features hold any water against their Lanparty series or any other mATX motherboards? Onboard video by s3, onboard audio, and support for the A64 lineup of processors are just a few "highlights" of this unit.

OCZ Technology 1024-PC3200 2-2-2 Platinum Revision 2 Memory Kit Review at 3DX

Published by Newsfactory 0

The OCZ PC3200 Revision 2 memory delivered slightly faster speeds than the Corsair XMS 3200XL at DDR400 (2-2-2-5) and costs significantly less (around $280 vs. $315). This difference in cost may be the single most determining factor for someone that is shopping for DDR400. Keep in mind that with slightly looser timings operation up to DDR500 should be easily possible making this memory the perfect compliment to any system from an AMD64 based rig to an overclocked Intel P4 based rig. We award the OCZ PC3200 Revision 2 Memory the 3DXtreme Editor?s Choice Award based on the performance and price of this product.

Gigabyte's GA-K8NSNXP-939 motherboard @ TechReport

Published by Newsfactory 0

As a DUAL OPTERON user running two monitors and a pair of hard drives in RAID 1, I'm a pretty firm believer that two is better than one. Maybe that's why Gigabyte's GA-K8NSNXP-939 Athlon 64 motherboard caught my eye. The GA-K8NSNXP-939 might only accommodate a single 939-pin Athlon 64 processor, but the board comes equipped with dual BIOS chips, a pair of Ethernet jacks, two Serial ATA RAID controllers, dual-channel memory, and even a six-phase "Dual Power System."

Suntec Muro MR-100 256MB MP3 Player Review at Jhawk's Hardware

Published by Newsfactory 0

The Muro MR-100 is a new MP3 player with a set of unique features that separate it from other MP3 players in the market, and is proof that this new Korean company is serious about its business. When I decided to buy an MP3 player, I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted. Not a CD-MP3 player because of the size, and I did not really need an expensive HD-based player like Apple's IPod or Creative's Xen, so I started searching for a good flash-based player. The Suntec Muro MR-100 had everything I was searching for and much more. Read on to learn more about it.
