Hey all,
I have a Dell Dimension 8200, running an Intel P4 1.9ghz.
What motherboard do I have (or how do I find out), and what CPU can I upgrade to without changing the board?
Mark.

first thing under microprocessor states which ones it can use:
Intel® Pentium® 4 microprocessor
1.50, 1.60, 1.80, 1.90, 2.00, 2.20, or 2.40 GHz (400 MHz); or
2.26, 2.40, 2.53, 2.66, or 2.80 GHz (533 MHz)
depending on how fast your fsb/ram is going.

First of all the board doesn't really matter (it does sometime). The chipset is the most important. use aida32 or sisoft sandra to see all your hardware configuration.
just do a google search for the program.
