Strata v0.1.40 shipped just two days after v0.1.39, the fastest release cycle yet for Niko1221's open-source local LLM inference engine. It adds native support for AMD's Strix Halo / Ryzen AI Max APUs, marking the first HIP run on the gfx1151 chip. Linux cold start reportedly dropped from roughly 920 seconds to 70, and multi-GPU work now gains resident-RAM splits and exhaustive four-GPU placement. The release also patches crash, NaN, and security holes while keeping default output byte-identical to 0.1.39, though the Windows Strix Halo build remains untested.
