it gets slower after more use, like if u dont shut down properly.

i know wat u mean though. the loading screen is well quick, like 15secs, but then just before the login screen is takes much longer.

in fact,
i did it again and now only 50 sec to boots (most are bios and UDMA100 controller .... but ...)
but now the black screen isnt as fast ...
what a mess :)

I haven't used this yet, and I don't plan on. I went from a 1.5 to 2 min boot in Win2k to a 20 sec complete boot (from end of BIOS to after login) and I am quite happy!

Yeah, to speed up WinME, format, install WinXP...wil be much faster.

XP faster to *boot* than ME? I don't think so. Maybe XP is faster than 98SE to boot, and XP *is* faster than ME during runtime. But there's no way XP is faster to boot than ME. Not by default anyway.

Ya, uninstall it and replace with XP :)

My winXP loads up quite a lot of software each time. I have icq, yahoo, MSN, NAV2002, itouch, startNpref, PSstrip, activesync and it used to take 2:25 min to load everything up.
and now only 1min. believe it or not. amazing.!!

ERROR: the procedure entry point RtlFlushSecureMemoryCache could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll

I see other people have used this with w2k. Wonder why i'm getting the shaft.

I'm with you buddy, I'd like to see something like this that actuly works with Win2k ;-) I would think it wouldn't be all that hard, with WinXP and Win2K being so much alike.

I´ve got a error message like "RtlFlashSecure..."
Where do you have the file when you run it?
In D:/winnt/??

I sure'd like to know what is going on. I measure my XP bootup time in how many times the little blue bar goes across the progress meter on the startup WinXP splash screen.

For me, it varies between 5.9 times and 6.1 times - more if I have a USB device plugged in. Oddly enough, this is my second install of XP, and it boots up much slower than the first time - it only went across 2 times.
