More Spice On ATI R350

From all I've been seeing these last few months nVidia is not only on the run but has went down their rabbit hole and hid from everyone hoping this big, mean 9700-thingy goes away and their FX will finally get finished and beat it. The only trouble is the FX might just have a problem competing with ATI's current best offering, and they're so damned delayed that ATI has lapped 'em on release cycles and now nVidia is going to enjoy the pleasure of learning how to play "catch up". (Oh, and this has nothing to do with them being awful about returning me e-mails as of late...honest. ;) ) I think the FX is gonna bomb just as bad as the parhelia, I truly do. ATI has really been impressing the hell out of me for the last few months not only with their hardware & drivers, but also with the effort they've been making to become more active in the community and become more responsive to their customers needs. There hasn't been a week gone by that an ATI employee hasn't came onto our boards to answer a question or help someone out, and that is a REAL nice change in me opinion.

I think what were witnessing is one company(nvidia) "doing too much".....with all thier positive accomplishments in the motherboard arena(ill take n2 anyday over via)and Xbox.....just seems as though the staple that got them to the top;video rendering, has suffered. I have talked a lot on here about how important competeion is to the industry so i just hope nvidia stays in the game i dont want to pay 1000$ for the top of the line card...do you?

Like ya say, their nForce2 flat-out roxors and the FX isn't gonna totally suck..it just can't live up to all the expectations after the overly-long wait and is gonna hurt them badly. I'm hoping it's a wake-up call for them, they make excellent hardware but their prices are still too high. ;)

Sometimes i'd just wish i was a rapper :P, so this that iam about to say would sound cool, lol, but you all ppl seem to be forgetting ATI's legal problems, i'd don't think my box would be seen an ATI card inside of it any time soon or perhaps never.

hahahah - werent there a lot of ppl that said that the displacement mapping of the fx did not conform with the dx9 specs ???? almost a dx 9.0 compatible ... thingie, but not quite ....... fx will flop ....(Flop Xtreme)
