Yeahh right... Bicause of that stupid mistake i´ve loste 110Gb of programas, music and many other things like important docs that i had. Now all gone thanks to VIA... Who wont´s to buy a KT6(Via) or trade for a nf2? The moment it happened i almost gone insane...

I´ve tryed that... last know good configuration but didn´t work always showed a stupid error message and safe mode didn´t work. 110Gb of stuff down the toillet... I should sue someone... Arghhh!!!!

there IS always recovery programs - like GetDataBackNTFS. i've had good success with those.

I used to think of via as a company that puts out utterly worthless chipsets but with great driver support since they used to update them a lot. Now I think of via as having uttely worthless chipsets and utterly worthless driver support. Not that it really matters anymore since I learned my leason about them over a year ago...

My XP install was trashed by the 4.50 drivers, both drives in my system experienced file system corruption wchkdisk running at every restart, and I could not reinstall XP because my installation cd couldn't recogonize my Windows on c:. I managed to save all my data by using a system backup HDD that was not in my system. Slaved my original two drives and recovered all my data, docs, mp3's, movies ect. Then had to format both drives and then clone my backup to my original c: drive with Ghost. Thanks for all the work Via! By the way, what modern bios has the AGP aperture set to 32MB by default? I'm betting the answer to that is NONE. I wonder how many people had their systems trashed by this bug?
