ATi & High Detail Texture Problems?

And now the target has been painted on ATI. Seems about time since the Nvidia thing has gotten old.

Its known that the texture issue in UT2003 is easily fixed, its a bug and not an optimisation. You just need to edit the ini file. It makes about 1 FPS difference. Its very minor when compared to turning off whole feature sets like the 'green' company does. EB has shown that the 'darkness' in AM3 is just gamma, the ATI card renders everything.

Dont know, but knowing toms they are groundless or, more acurately, sensationalized. Every card has its problems, its just a matter of degree. Where nvidia gains 50% in its 'cheats' ATI gains at most 5% and still have better IQ most of time. Really nvidia and its fanboys should keep quiet until its shown ATI has done something as big as the FX cheats. Its never has and probably never will. Many problems ATI has are in TWIMTBP games, hardly surprising is it ?!

Will Rock is nothing special and doesnt have ATI optimisations of note. The thing about the 2 PR things is the way they are done. GITG is mostly just marketing, TWIMTBP is more agressive, requiring, well STRONGLY encouraging optimisations and favouritism.

Thats rubbish and you know it. Valve are going out of their way to HELP the FX out. Its nvidias fault the FX is slow in DX9 not valves or ATIs or anyone elses.

Tell me what cheats you mean please.. and dont say quack.. you know that was a 2 week thing dont you? you know it was fixed with no loss oF speed... because it was a bug caused by a compatability setting for the R100 ? You know it was nvidia that made it public ?? 'Maybe nvidia cheated' ??? are you serious ???? People like you give gamers a bad name. You are a stupid fanboy. You should have loyalty to yourself, not a GPU maker. Thats why i buy whats best regardless of who made it. In the past that was nvidia, now its ATI. Simple.

HL2 is DX9, thats the only optimisation valve made, the FX sucks at DX9 thats why its slower. Its also slower in everyu other DX9 game.. is everyone screwing nvidia.. of course not.
