Chameleon light bus

Published by [NT] 3

We can all get bored with our cases, no matter how great they look, but what if we could change the lighting at the turn of a dial? We review the Sunbeam Chameleon which lets you do just that.

Quote: " Picture the scene. You've spent all day lovingly installing your case window and lights. You've meticulously routed all the cables stealthily out of sight. You've obliterated the local DIY store's stock of cable ties and spiral wrap and you've polished away every last fingerprint to the point that even a crack forensics team wouldn't find anything.
You sit back and, with a smug grin, you fire up your machine. It looks spectacular, but somewhere deep in the back of your mind a little voice whispers "you know, I think it might have looked better lit blue"

Thermaltake 120mm Blue LED Smart Case Fan Review @ Tweaknews.net

Published by [NT] 0

Article Snippet:
"I must say that I'm very impressed with the Thermaltake Smart Case fan. The packaging, product quality and accessories are all top-notch. I used nothing more than a screwdriver to take advantage of all options and never had to dip into my collection of spare parts to get it running or installed. While the highest fan speed produced a lot of noise, the Smart Fan was fairly quiet at low speeds while still moving a very respectable volume of air. 38CFM @ 17dBA on low is nothing to sneeze at."

Beyond TV 3.5.1 was released on December 1st 2004 at midnight in unison with the Beyond Media software package. Beyond TV 3.5.1 is mainly a bug fix update for Beyond TV 3.5 which HTPCnews also reviewed in this feature. In the Windows HTPC world, most of us have three options: Windows MCE, SageTV, and Beyond TV 3.5. Of the big three, this application has shown in many ways to be the most "TiVo" like and deserves to be looked at by anyone who is even remotely considering a HTPC or whole home TV distribution network. Stay tuned for the upcoming feature reviews of Beyond Media and Beyond Link in the next week to complete the "whole house" TV distribution network over at HTPCnews.com.

OCZ Technology has just released an extremist series of memory modules aimed directly at the high end overclocking community. OCZ Technology provided us test beta samples of the OCZ PC-3200 Gold Edition VX (Voltage eXtreme) modules for testing. We will examine how well these modules work in dual channel on an Intel based 875P Canterwood based platform. This memory is advertised as being able to work in a higher voltage environment - thus increasing speed and stability as a result. My test results will determine if these claims are in fact true.

Aerocool AeroBase Flashing Gaming MousePad Review at 3DX

Published by [NT] 0

"We'd thought we'd have a little fun with this review, after all it's an $18 mouse pad that would drive most people nuts. As a gaming mouse pad it's not half bad, it's got a nice finish and works with optical mice. If you are a gamer that gets involved in long gaming sessions of World of Warcraft or Everquest II and uses headphones then the ability for this mouse pad to alert you to a cell phone call is kind of cool actually. If you are looking for something different, something to drive the cats nuts with or you are just into blinking items - you may have just found your next purchase!"
