Chaintech Geforce FX5500 256Meg Videocard Review @ Tweaknews.net
Article Snippit:
"Chaintech's FX5500 is a great little video card with lots of spunk. The 256MB DDR will help boost your system so that you can play newer games (look how well it did with Jedi Knight II). It's a solid card which performed quite well in our benchmarks. Considering the extra RAM and the fact that it's a 128-bit card, I had expected it to outperform the 128MB 64-bit 9600SE in each test… granted Radeons have consistently performed better than NVIDIA chips in certain benchmarks."

Corsair TwinX1024 3200XLPRO @ Driverheaven
Today ill be taking a look at their new 3200XL pro modules which are already causing quite a stir in the enthusiast market due to their extremely tight timings of 5-2-2-2 @ 400mhz. In todays current marketplace getting memory with timings this tight is nigh on impossible as the famous overclocking Winbond BH-5 chips have been phased out. The XL series of modules are being marketed as a screaming fast group of DDR modules and they are being shipped in the classic black and platinium heatspreaders in their PRO series. The XL family is based on a new Samsung chip, Corsair have worked closely with Samsung and their first tests showed the parts to be extremely fast.
Albatron 5700P Turbo 128MB Mid-Range Graphics card @ The Crucible
A quick quote
For the price point, this card is definitely a decent performer, and would serve well for any average joe's box. Performance in older games was excellent, and even though the card struggles a bit at higher resolutions in newer games, performance is on par for a card of its caliber. This is not a card that is designed to be a hardcore gamer/enthusiast component, but rather a good budget card for the occasional game. There are also multimedia possibilities which were not touched on here, but the card does support DVI, VGA and s-video out, and of course supports dual monitor configurations. This card would be a good choice if you are looking for something for playing your old favorites, that can handle newer games (albeit at lower resolutions), and want to save a buck or two.

Hightech Excalibur Radeon 9200SE Videocard Review @ Tweaknews.net
Article Snippit:
"Now before you discredit this card as a slow piece of hardware, let me clarify one thing. This card is neither meant or intended to be a screamer in any way shape or form. What this card is offering is a very cost effective solution to a person needing the great 2D quality ATI is know for, allow the user to have fully functional VIVO capabilities and do some very minor gaming from time to time. For me to judge this videocard on gaming performance alone would be a very ignorant and completely unfair. Not every card is made to perform in the enthusiast market."

To come up with an idea like a radio controlled rheobus, I have to agree.

AMD Athlon64 3800 & FX53
T-Break have scooped AMD's latest 64 bit processors in the form of AMD's Athlon 64 3800+ and FX53 CPU!
The Athlon64 CPU was one of AMD's most important products and, for good reasons, it has been quite successful since its launch late last year. At that time, AMD released the Socket 940 based AthlonFX CPU as well as the Socket 754 based Athlon64 CPU. The FX offered higher performance by utilizing a dual-channel memory controller built on the CPU while the Socket 754's memory controller only offered a single channel. Unfortunately, the FX only accepted registered memory modules which aren?t as easily or cheaply available as your standard non-ECC memory especially at higher speeds like DDR400.
