The difficulty lies in the fact that with most software solutions available to the everyday user, there is always the chance of corruption since they rely on the fact that you have a functioning operating system. If the operating system is attacked or corrupted in any serious way then all the software security in the world will not do much good.

Thermalright V-1 GPU Cooler Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

OCIA.net takes a look at the Thermalright V-1 GPU Cooler in their latest review.

At first glance we can't help but compare the looks of the V-1 with other recent Thermalright offerings such as the XP-120 and XP-90. Aluminum construction using heatpipe technology is a design feature shared by all three. These are not new ideas for GPU coolers however, there are many other companies who manufacture similar products, and have for years. Can the V-1's functionality and performance live up to the Thermalright name? Being that this is their first venture into the VGA cooling market I'm sure expectations are high.

The latest GPU to come through Pureoverclock is the Gainward 3500 PCX 7800 GTX Golden Sample "Gainward kindly supplied two 7800GTX Golden Sample cards to allow us to test the performance in an SLI configuration. That's £800 worth of pixel pushing power staring back at ya! Make no mistake, pair two of these up and you're sitting pretty for at least 2 years?.

OCZ PC2-6400 Gold 2x512MB

MBReview has finished off a quick and dirty review of OCZ Tech's PC2-6400 Gold 2x512MB kit. This memory clocks in at 800MHz with a 1.9V core and 5-5-5-10 timings. At the low end of the frequency selection, it's best for low latency RAM, but when it comes to ramping up on frequency, these modules are stallions. If you're looking for some overclocking RAM for the Intel setup, give this review a look.

Samsung YH-820 5Gb Digital MP3 Player Review @ Tweaknews.net

Published by Newsfactory 0

With a little shopping online you will be able to easily find this product for around US$175-$200 in your area. For what this player offers, I wouldn't deem that an unfair price at all. This product is much more than your average "turn it on and listen to music" MP3 player. In addition, for the same money you get an easy to use portable hard drive, voice recorder, MP3 encoder and a color photo viewer in one neat and tidy package.

Intel?s Pentium-M 780 Processor

Published by Newsfactory 0

The Pentium-M 780's clock speed of 2.26 GHz is the highest shipping clock speed of this product line yet, although it is not what most would consider a major jump forward. At 2.26 GHz, the chip is only clocked 6.2% higher compared to the previous high-end Pentium-M processor (770 at 2.13 GHz). Many enthusiasts have found that current Pentium-M processors can easily clock up to 2.5 GHz levels and higher with stock cooling solutions, so Intel seems to be playing it fairly safe at 2.26 GHz.
