Hot off the presses today at XtremeResources we have another Power Supply review by our Senior European Reviewer, Grace. This time around she has gotten her hands on the the Revoltec Star Series Chromus II RPS-450V2, a product from the subsidiary of Listan, Revoltec, of Germany.

Today we take a look at one of the most original looking heat sink/fan combos that we've seen to date. The Heat sink in question is Thermaltake's Beetle with heat pipe cooling technology. The name Beetle is aptly named, as the unit actually does resemble some sort of flying insect. Looks are not the only thing going for this heatsink, but it also can be used with all Intel P4 478/775, and AMD K7, K8 processors.

You've managed to save long enough to get yourself a notebook with enough grunt to do some serious work, but now you find you're seriously short on space to keep all those huge spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations (not to mention the occasional game too). We review a rather nice 100GB 2.5" hard disk from Toshiba that should help ease the situation.

Many that have seen the progress of PC 3D graphics over the years will remember Voodoo 2 and its dual board "SLI" capabilities. NVIDIA announced their own take on SLI in 2004 allowing users to couple two GeForce 6 PCI Express boards together in order to double the rendering potential, and now SLI platform hardware and graphics boards are in full availability. Very synonymous with the gaming world when it comes to mouse mats (check out their glass mats), Icemat has also extended their product line to audio products. The Siberia Headset is the first of its kind from this Danish Company.

It looks great, it performs exceptionally well for a performance value solution and it has included cooling not even seen on more expensive x800/850XT alternatives. It didn't matter what I threw at it, even at the highest quality and 1280x1024 resolution, the card just toyed around with every benchmark and gaming scenario and taunted my to push it some more.

Today 3DXtreme has the great pleasure of reviewing two mainstream video cards based on the nVidia 6600GT chip. Our samples are provided by eVGA and Chaintech, two of the industry leaders among video card and hardware manufacturers. With the emergence of high end video cards from nVidia and ATI, such as the 6800 and X800 series, the mainstream has largely been forgotten. Let?s take a look at these two video cards and see how they measure up in today?s gaming applications and a little later we?ll have a look at these cards in an SLI configuration and see how well they stack up against a current high end card.

In the past year, we have seen lots of memory rated at DDR500, so you may wonder why we are reviewing a new DDR500 memory today when there are now a few rare modules rated as high as DDR600. The answer is pretty simple, since OCZ PC4000 VX Gold is the only memory that we have ever seen rated at DDR500 2-2-2. While it is rated at DDR500 at these extraordinary 2-2-2 timings, it also carries a very high rated voltage of 3.3V - far beyond what most motherboards can supply.

When we got the call that ?the mother of all cards from hell? was about to arrive - looking back on our previous Gainward experiences we knew we were in for the time of our lives and a whole load of fun!
