Sierra Entertainment has released the promised multiplayer beta of Empire Earth: the Art of Conquest, the 3D real-time strategy expansion in the works at Mad Doc Software. The beta contains one multiplayer map and offers "a sneak peak at the new units and epochs to be included in the upcoming expansion pack.

ID Software will be conducting its first fan demonstration of the DOOM III Theater at this year's QuakeCon 2002 and this will be the first public demonstration of the game that includes a new level (?) that was not shown off during E3 this year.

Massive Development have opened the official AquaNox: Revelation website for business, revealing more from this upcoming underwater 3D action game.

The Marksmanship pack takes players to the U.S. Army's Sniper School in Fort Benning, Ga., for training missions. In order to progress to this advanced level, players must qualify as an "Expert" in the Rifle Range single-player mission. In the Army, relatively few Soldiers attain an "Expert" qualification badge, so meeting the requirements to proceed to this level in America's Army is not easy.

After successfully completing their advanced marksmanship training missions, players will be qualified to select this higher-expertise level in online games. Many of the multiplayer missions in America's Army: Operations, including the Insurgent Camp and Bridge maps, that were released in the initial RECON release, include these roles.

A movie trailer for No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy In H.A.R.M.'s Way is now available, showing the swinging sixties FPS sequel by Monolith Productions in motion. The movie comes in regular and low resolutions and runs for a bit under two minutes with plenty of in-game footage as well as an introduction of the game's premise and several of Cate Archer's enemies.

Bohemia Interactive has released a single-player demo of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance, allowing you to try out their new tactical shooter expansion. Robert Duffy, id Software programmer, updated his .plan with word that a new Quake III Arena point release is in the works: Just a quick note on future releases for Quake 3 Arena. We will be releasing a new point release in the relatively near future which includes a handful of fixes and updates and also includes full Punk Buster integration to combat cheating. No firm date on when this will be out but it should not be too far off.
