Unreal Tournament 2003 Info Updated!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just noticed that Mark Rein of Epic Games Inc has posted a bit more info about Unreal Tournament 2003! these details should get you going unlike the German Football team! hey boss get the beers out Coz their coming home their coming home? the Germans are going home! LOL

Resident graphics wiz, Andrew Scheidecker, has cranked up graphics performance very nicely and hardware guru Daniel Vogel has somehow managed to get 16 bit working quite well and make the game run on low-end cards like TNT2 and even 3DFX's famous Voodoo3!

So there it is, Voodoo3 and Voodoo5 will work with our game. Here's the disclaimer: the company that made these boards is no longer in business so these boards won't be "officially supported". The Voodoo3 drivers we tested with were 3rd party drivers from voodoofiles.com. Dan thinks the Voodoo5 drivers he tested with were the ones provided with Windows 2000, the OS on his test machine. We can't guarantee everyone who has a Voodoo3/5 card is going to be able to get the game working nor can we guarantee that the game is going to run well on their system. On our test box, an Athlon 1Ghz we ran the game consistently on Voodoo3 around the low to mid 20's (frames per second) at 512x384 and 640x480 both, of course, in 16 bit color. Visual quality was decent, not perfect as there are some visual flaws, but good none the less. The Voodoo5 was able to achieve the same kind of performance but at 640x480 with 32 bit color and the visual quality was actually quite good. A TNT2 achieves about the same performance but at a lower resolution - for TNT we're running 320x240 at 16 bit color - the absolute lowest end of the scale. Even at these resolutions the game is still a LOT of fun to play. On the sound side we have some amazing news! Dolby Laboratories informed us today that we are officially Dolby Digital 5.1 certified! UT2003 will be one of the first PC games to ship with true Dolby Digital support.

Unreal Tournament 2003 Build #927 Screenshots!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just saw this @ Thedigitalresource.com

A couple of days ago, there was a new leak of Unreal Tournament 2003. This time it's build #927 and it's filesize is 921 Mb to download. The build contains 50 maps and also the detailed characters and the amazing karma physics. I must say, the levels look awesome and the amount of detail is just cunning. lights and shadows are even more realistic in this build, and I can sense and improvement of the gameplay. There is one thing about this though; it's timebombed. After 15 days the trial will expire, unless you have a crack, that is ;-)

It requires about 4 gig of free hard disk space and it actually installs 2,27 gigabyte. Though the enormous amount of disk space it takes in, the loading times are no more then 10 to 20 seconds for a big level, which I think, is a great achievement. Great engine guys :-) I made some screenshots (289 of them) of each map and also included are screenshots of the improved menu and every gameplay setting. Have fun watching them!

Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo Build 927 Leaks!

Published by NewsFactory 1

Ok Peeps it seems that the new build of Unreal Tournament 2003 that leaked should be Build 927! Here's some of the replies I've had:

If the leak is real and not fake this is what it contains, it is 975mb comes in 65*15mb files With more than 30 arena's, 50 detailed characters and 10 unique worlds, Unreal Tournament 2003 includes a huge arsenal of weapons and a host of improvements on its popular predecessor. The sequel to the popular multiplayer action shooter features an upgraded 3D engine with new environments, characters, weapons, game modes, and special moves, as well as better artificial intelligence, new special effects, includes the karma physics, and the ion cannon, and new game types. this is not a demo leak, it is a 15 day trial of the full game, it is build 927, and the file names would be JIX-UT23.rar. RaINE

hey, i dont have the new leak, but I know the build # is 927 (as stated on the site with loads of other info about it).. but i am downloading it right this second along with loads of other ppl i know.. and they are going to tell me if its real or fake when they get it. TRIGGZ

4unrealers Interviews UTCV Creator, MrFrost!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Hi, just a quick note lo let you know that we have interviewed MrFrost, the creator of the utcv mutator. He talks about the mod, its features and its future within UZ2003. I hope you find it interesting enough :)

It is a parcial modification for Unreal Tournament. There are a lots of them. There are many kinds of mutators and for all the tastes. Since mutators that replace some weapons, hide some items from the game, or change map“s gravity, to older mutators (and funny indeed) like Fatboy which makes you fatter as you frag and skinnier as you get fragged. Over the course of the game the strong players are easily distinguishable. There are mutators more elaborated than others, and some very useful unlike another ones.
