Hi, just a quick note lo let you know that we have interviewed MrFrost, the creator of the utcv mutator. He talks about the mod, its features and its future within UZ2003. I hope you find it interesting enough :)

It is a parcial modification for Unreal Tournament. There are a lots of them. There are many kinds of mutators and for all the tastes. Since mutators that replace some weapons, hide some items from the game, or change map´s gravity, to older mutators (and funny indeed) like Fatboy which makes you fatter as you frag and skinnier as you get fragged. Over the course of the game the strong players are easily distinguishable. There are mutators more elaborated than others, and some very useful unlike another ones.

After the rumours of going gold had been quashed a few days ago, Blizzard has now made an official announcement. WarCraft III has indeed gone gold, and with just under 20 days before release.

I saw this @ Blue's News and this is what they said:
Activision sends along a new patch for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, updating the first-person shooter by Gray Matter and Nerve Software to version 1.33. This release brings the game in sync with the imminent GotY Edition, comes as a lite patch (4.1 MB) from version 1.32 and a full patch (9.9 MB) from any older version, and it addresses the Medic Revival Sticking bug along with improving PunkBuster WebTool support and adding a few new console variables. Additionally, the Game of the Year map pack (49.0 MB) is now available for owners of the original game, offering three previous maps (Trenchtoast, Icelab and Tram Siege) along with four new maps: Chateau, Keep, The Damned and Rocket. Just saw this @ Thedigitalresource.com

Everyone must have heard by now that there is a Unreal Tournament 2003 demo leaked floating around on the net. Though it's pretty hard to find, we at The Digital Resource got ourselves the demo! The demo is about 247 Mb to download and installed it eats about 465 Mb of your disk space. But it's worth it. Oh yeah.

You probably have seen various screenshots from it (Like the ones we had here in a previous post) or even a movie. Now I want to take that a step further. I wanted to give those who were unfortunate enough to not have the demo, have an eclusive view of what it has to offer. So, I made a video of each map (7 maps in total) and uploaded it for your viewing pleasure. I also tweaked the u2.ini file and made very high res screenshots from the game (1280x1024x32, every detail at high) So you can associate them with the movies, which are of poorer quality to make the file size acceptable. Now. let's have a look at the maps shall we?

In an effort to release the patch as quickly as possible to the general public, we are recruiting Beta Testers for the first patch of Morrowind?. The operative word in Beta Testers is "Testers."

If you are selected to be one of the Beta Testers for the patch, you will be expected to test the areas of the patch that have been fixed. You will be given patch release notes and should test the areas specifically outlined in these notes. These patch notes are preliminary only and should not be shared with anyone outside of the testers forum.

After last nights UT 2003 Demo leak! Here's what Mark Rein from Epic Games Inc had to say about it on the Epic Messagesboards .

leaked early test version of UT2003 is floating around the internet. It is not representative of the quality or performance of the final game. Infogrames' job in situations like these is to go after the people who are leaking or passing-along this version. They also need to suppress conversations about the leaked version on web forums to avoid pointing at it and tempting innocent people, who normally don't traffic in stolen software, to download it to find out what people are talking about. Their duty to their shareholders is to protect the value and marketability of their products to the fullest extent possible. They HAVE to do that, they're a public company and their shareholders would expect no less because Infogrames is invests a lot of money to bring games like UT2003 to the marketplace.

I wanted to address a few of related comments I saw on this forum.
