Maxreboot have managed to get hold of some interesting stuff. Neoplanet is another capable web browser that has special features such as skin, download manage, intergrated mail client software like outlook express, an intergrated chat program and a download typical download manager.

Also they have gotten hold of some ATI Raedion 8500 drivers for both Windows 9X/2000/XP. These drivers appear official but were leaked and are version 9005.

AMD have released updated IDE Bus Master & AC ?97 Audio Setup Drivers! :D

The main changes to these drivers are that they correct some issues with the 4.36v under Windows 2K. They add 4X setting for Nvidia graphics cards in the registry and have an updated inf file. Well I might be mistaken but I think there is a new revision of the XP OS driver for AMD K7 processors on WindowsUpdate. I was offered a new driver when I went there reading the same version number as the one that shipped with Win XP. If I'm not mistaken the shipped driver's date was 01.07.2001 and the new drivers date is 29.08.2001.

Hauppauge have released a Beta WDM driver for WinTV cards version 3.24.

As mentioned on 12 December, the new 4.36 drivers contain a silent installation of a patch which adjusts a memory setting in BIOS on some VIA Apollo chipsets to ensure stability with the latest video drivers under all Windows Operating Systems. ViaHardware I've created a new version of the patch that so many people have already used to solve their IDE- and audio-related problems on VIA-based motherboards. The new version is 0.19, and it has several enhancements over the older versions:

* More VIA chipsets are supported
* "Standby" and "Hibernate" power management is supported on Windows 2000 and XP
* Installation is simpler
* More patches included: Aureal Vortex, Radeon LE
* CPU Idle bit is no longer patched, so CPUs run cooler

Well it seems like Nvidia has learned a lesson from recent discussions regarding the RX55 memory register `bug` contained in the latest 23.11 release and encountered on VIA Windows 2K/XP systems resulting in a performance loss as well as instant reboots and BSOD's. The 23.11 Detonator drivers have been removed as the official downloadable version. They have been reverted back to 21.83. On the other hand Nvidia is now offering Detonator XP 3D stereo drivers based on 23.11; released today.
