VSSShield is an Open Source app in the vein of Raccine that monitors for and kills processes attempting to delete the shadow volume copies.
VSSShield is intended to be a debugger for high-risk applications, notably Vssadmin and WMIC. VSSShield uses an all-or-nothing approach; it targets anything that appears to be an attempt to delete shadow copies and prevents the execution, and it also kills the associated parent process.
VSSShield serves only as mitigation and should never be considered as providing any level of assurance against any particular event. For complete coverage, consider using Malwarebytes for complete antivirus protection and to protect your devices, data, and privacy.
Make sure to create a restore point before usage just in case there is an unforeseen issue.
