The latest hardware reviews cover a range of products including air coolers, power supplies, SSDs, and a keyboard accessory, revealing that specifications often do not tell the full story. The Scythe MUGEN 6 White Edition is a budget-friendly cooler that performs well but has a short two-year warranty, while the Gigabyte UD750GM PG5 V2 is a highly rated power supply with some limitations regarding cable configurations. In storage, the KIOXIA EXCERIA G3 offers impressive read speeds but suffers from a significant drop in write performance after its cache is filled, contrasting with the SanDisk NAS 800, which prioritizes endurance and is considered a top choice for NAS applications despite its high price. Lastly, the GMK TriggerKey accessory is well-engineered but ultimately unnecessary for most users, as it lacks compatibility with the keyboard types that would benefit most from its features

Reviews Roundup: Budget Cooler, Gen 5 SSD, and NAS Drives Ranked

Today's hardware reviews roundup span air coolers, power supplies, a keyboard gizmo, and two very different SSDs, and they mostly prove the spec sheet understates the story. The Scythe MUGEN 6 White Edition earns a 7.6/10 at about $56 with dual-tower performance but only a two-year warranty. The Gigabyte UD750GM PG5 V2 scores 8/10 as a $98 Platinum-efficiency PSU, though its shared EPS cable limits some motherboards. Meanwhile the KIOXIA EXCERIA G3 delivers blistering reads but a brutal write cliff once its cache fills, the SanDisk NAS 800 offers premium endurance for a premium price, and the GMK TriggerKey is clever engineering that misses its real target.
