After two decades of x86 exclusivity, Proxmox Virtual Environment 9.2 has officially launched with full support for 64-bit ARM architectures. Built on Debian 13.5 with a Linux kernel 7.0, the new release targets NVIDIA Grace Hopper and Vera Rubin platforms as part of a strategic push into AI factory infrastructure. While the arm64 build shares the same core virtualization stack and enterprise repository as its x86 counterpart, it enforces UEFI-only VM booting, lacks AMD SEV encryption, and restricts live migration to same-architecture nodes. The 1.50 GB installer is now available for download, with dedicated ARM64 subscriptions managed separately from existing x86-64 licenses.
