There are new Promise Raid BIOS and drivers for the tx2 to x4 range of cards. This combation of biosdrivers will allow 48 bit LBA. The drivers are dated 3/28/2002.

I only checked the update for the tx2 to x4 series. Perhaps there are more updates.
