This release marks a significant upgrade as it skips several versions and includes improvements across 180 applications, with notable updates to Dolphin, Kate, Okular, and others. The update also brings enhancements to the KDE Frameworks, improved GPU driver integration, and the restoration of classic themes as part of KDE's 30th anniversary celebrations. Users can download the User Edition ISO, which is available with verification options, and the next update is expected in late September

The HWE kernel moved to 7.0.0-30-generic for newer hardware support, and KWin's DRM backend now handles GPU resets and inactive display outputs more reliably.
