JPass 1.0.6

JPass is a secure password manager that allows you to store important information such as user names, passwords, URLs, and notes in an encrypted file. The file is protected by a master password, ensuring your information remains confidential.

JPass uses strong encryption (the AES-256-CBC algorithm), and the PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA-256 is utilized as a password-based key derivation function. It is portable and comes in a single jar file that can be easily carried on a USB stick. Additionally, JPass has a built-in random password generator that can help you create strong and unique passwords.

You can keep all your username, password, URL, and notes information organized in one file with JPass. It also supports data import/export in XML format, making it easy to transfer your information between different devices or applications.

JPass can be run from the command line by typing (the password file is optional): java -jar jpass-1.0.5-RELEASE.jar [password_file]

JPass can be launched through batch/shell scripts on different platforms (i.e., jpass.bat for Windows, jpass.sh for Linux, jpass.command for macOS). Please make sure PATH or JAVA_HOME environment variables point to a valid Java installation. Java 8 or later is recommended to run JPass.
