Just spotted this bit of Info posted over at Neowin's Forum by illz55.

A couple people have gotten copies of Doom III as stores are now receiving them. One guy got it from Best Buy and another from an uncle who owns a video game store. It is not fake, so don't say that. Just enjoy these for now...
