AMD Adrenalin 26.10.1 Driver: FSR 4.1 Now Supports RX 6000 Cards

AMD has released the Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1 driver, which now includes support for FSR Upscaling 4.1 on older RX 6000 series cards and several Ryzen AI processors. The driver optimizes performance for popular games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and fixes stuttering issues specifically for RX 6000 cards. However, it comes with a lengthy list of known issues, such as crashes on RX 9000 cards and problems with overlays and multi-display setups. This update aims to enhance the experience for existing users with older GPUs, contrasting with Nvidia's focus on performance with their DLSS 4.5 technology

AMD released Adrenalin Edition 26.10.1 today, extending its ML-based FSR Upscaling 4.1 to older hardware including the RX 6000 series and four families of Ryzen AI processors. The software-only update also optimizes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Final Fantasy Resonance, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer, while fixing stuttering in MW4 on RX 6000 cards. However, it ships with an unusually long known-issues list, including crashes on RX 9000 cards, overlay and multi-display problems, and install failures in regions with limited HuggingFace access. Nvidia countered with its own Game Ready driver powered by DLSS 4.5, but AMD's angle here is breadth—reaching older cards that don't need an upgrade.
