This release is now available for general use and includes installation ISOs for four architectures: Intel/AMD (x86_64), ARM64 (aarch64), IBM PowerPC (ppc64le), and IBM Z (s390x). Additionally, the foundation offers a wide range of cloud, container, and live images tailored for various uses.

The AlmaLinux OS 9.6 version features several important updates, including enhancements to module streams, improved compiler versions, and updates to essential tools like elfutils, Valgrind, SystemTap, and PCP. Networking and security updates are incorporated, alongside advancements in containerization and virtualization technologies, including the addition of snpguest and snphost packages. Notably, a technical preview of KVM virtualization support for the IBM Power architecture is also included.

Users can access installation ISOs and torrent files for each architecture. Furthermore, various cloud images are anticipated to be available soon, supporting platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and more. Other features include Vagrant boxes for multiple virtualization platforms and support for Raspberry Pi and Windows Subsystem for Linux.
