Unused space on hard drives recovered?

Theres a follow up to this in the letters age saying that hd's are made the same as cpus, ie if the hd doesnt pass the 250gb tests, then it is tested at a lower capacity and if it passes that its marked as such. This means that a 120gig drive may be able to work with 250gigs but the data will most probably become corrupted. Also theres extra space on each drive for the OS to allocate if bad sectors occur.

yeah this is bogus but as for TANSTAAFL.... i disagree.. my XP1800 running at 2400 is a very nice free lunch:)
