Or thanks to Hinkle for letting DW know what to report back to his clan!

I want to know why "some guy's personal opinion" becomes a News item ... did the news poster go to jail with him/her as cellmate or something? Let's review what he said: first, he said exhibit "A" ... shader 1.x and 3.0 in development decision, then he recanted his story saying "It hasn't been stated officially anywhere in public circles." The reason behind his/her unhappiness that Shader 2.0 is not used ... he/she owns an ATI card which doesn't support SM3.0, but don't wanna run it under Shader1.x mode? The claim about marketing non-sense ... haha. It is not the software developer's fault that your card isn't 100% DirectX9.0c compatible. But don't worry, there is still a recourse for you. Ask that ATI guy who demonstrated he can "re-write" codes from SM3.0 to SM2.0b ... ask him to do re-writes on every game. evey line of code "by hand". It might just work out, after all.

I don't have what to say ... hmm, are you a really stupid b.s. person? Why is that guy saying about PS2.0 not supported in the game? What's your problem? Your point? Read through the other thread please; I have no interest to re-state everything over there, nor do I want to go through the Microsoft DirectX9 SDK (the new one) or any other 3rd-party SDK software with you, just to show you SM3.0 features. I have never said anything about a bad card from this or that. In fact, I suspect you need some psychiatric evaluation? Since even Half-Life2 and Doom 3 run on any card that is DirectX7 with hardware TNL. So, who says anything about bad? Maybe your card isn't supported in 1 codepath; surely, you can run it in the other one, it is just too bad you cannot live with it, like a man?

"Let's review what he said: first, he said exhibit "A" ... shader 1.x and 3.0 in development decision, then he recanted his story saying "It hasn't been stated officially anywhere in public circles." People do have private conversations that aren't splashed all over the Net you know... "The reason behind his/her unhappiness that Shader 2.0 is not used ... he/she owns an ATI card which doesn't support SM3.0, but don't wanna run it under Shader1.x mode?" Nope, my primary rig contains a GeForce 6800GT. "The claim about marketing non-sense ... haha. It is not the software developer's fault that your card isn't 100% DirectX9.0c compatible." Ask yourself why the developer decided to drop the Shader Model 2.0 path they had been working on...
