No ICQ on this computer :-(. When you modified the inf or installer or both and it works for XP sent me the file(s) to rancho@warp2search.com and I will offer them as a local download. Thanks

when I looked at these files through the driver update wizard all I saw was game port and SBLive drivers. Plus when I let windows scan the directory for the driver it says there are no compatible drivers there. WTF?

I was working a bit with these and an older package by Fujitsu Siemens. Managed to install but lost WHQL certificate in the process. Creative Diagnostics and Mixer refused to work. Got no sound at all. Maybe I messed things up but it appears the Gateway drivers need updated applications as well. Any different results? Please comment.

Sorry, they obvious removed the win9x directory I don't know why.

Well I can imagine why.. because it's used by OEM manufacturers for w2k/XP systems only.

Version 5.12.1.324 (Audigy 2 drivers) is out and works perfectly fine with the audigy 1, I have the audigy 1 and it is the most stable driver I have used so far. All the EAX options and games work perfectly. It also will not break your EAX console, or any of the other creative software. I do not know if it comes in a VXD version though, but I do know it comes in WDM. All you do is extract the EXE update file and then run CTZAPXX.exe. If you need all the extra junk that comes with the driver CD then you will have to download the entire cd from compaq ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp22501-23000/SP22563.exe The apps contained in the above CD work perfectly with the latest Audigy 2 drivers .324 .
