And the files in the winxp-folder are the same date and version as the old beta drivers I downloaded September 2nd last year when I first installed winxp on my promise raid (february/march 2001). The only difference I see between these two is the txtsetup.oem that is smaller (and a bit newer, August 2001) in the drivers you link to. So I wouldn't say that they were new. The 2.00 (Build 18) drivers from for WinXP/Promise RAID has been out on Asus site since October last year.
