The industry wont move as fast as Intel to lose the AGP slot, theres far too many products out there. Its a bold move and I am waiting to see what comes from it, but they are going to lose some big money. However part of Intels makeup is bent on technology and innovation. They certainly are leading the pack there! I only use Athlons. Nothing wrong with Intel, just the price. Need a good reason to buy Intel, there arent any for me. (ps dont bite ;))

Remains to be seen what ends up happening in the real world. Preliminary tests on PCI-E gfx cards arent up to speed yet. This could easily change, it is a higher latency architecture though, so the same performance may never be realised for the current crop of cards. The next Gen of PCI-E cards are likely to be worthy. I'm going to hold back and watch this for a while after they release it.
