i installed the intel application accelerator & in my opinion it sucks.i have an asus cusl2-c mobo w intel i825ep chipset.i had lock ups,bsod`s.vxd errors,invalid page faultsinternet lockup`s games crashing to desktop.i did notice in sisoft 1750 point increase .in hd bench.boot time cut by 5 sec.you cannot use norton speed disk which is better than win 98se as it optimizes swap file.it says application accelerator but it seemed to take longer loading apps.thnx for allowing me my 2 cents

I had this installed on My PC and then install Norton Sytem Works 2001 , the speed disc will not work with this installed

I have the same problem too, and my Systems Works is the 2002 Professional version. Apparently this underlying incompatibility existed even with the older Intel Ultra ATA storage driver. Symantec's site page on this problem (document 2000100408585209) was created on Apr 2000; apparently no fix yet up till now.

I had norton util 4.0 on my system and put IAA version 112 on my system and didnt notice any problems. Then I decided to upgrade to norton util 2002 cause I saw it on sale and thought what the hey. After I installed it speed disk 2002 wouldnt work, but everything else did. Strange thing is.. speed disk in 2002 didnt look any different than the one in version 4.0 so I uninstalled 2002 and put 4.0 back on and speed disk works again! Whats up wit dat!!???
