if you open up the xp drivers with winzip you'll notice that there is absolutely NOTHING updated about these drivers. the e10kx2k.sys is dated 10/01

They install fine without playcenter installed (I didn't install it due to horror stories). Work fine on my system so far. Date has changed under device manager to 1/8/02 (8th Jan to all you UKers :) )

I have 5 speakers.. but it's only using 2... how can I switch it to 5.1 mode? I can't find it in AudioHQ.. I'm running SB Audigy Platinum under XP Pro Thanks

you shoud see a Speaker icon in AudioHQ window. if you don't (had that before) you may remove the Creative SB Audigy device and reboot. that should put back the icon.

you need to install the Surround Mixer. with that you can setup the speakers configuration you have (2, 4, 5.1 & headphone)
