ATI Truform Fiasco?

oh boy, the best card in stores for months. the leader in the battle of the best graphic cards right now, until there is something new. you know, if nvidia, ati, or someone else wanted to create a graphics card which could render everything, they would create it. but one question, do you have the money to pay a card which can render 64x the millions of polygons rendered today by a GF4 or an ATI 9700?? I don't think so. please take your calculator and you'll see : lets suppose the card is rendering without truform 17 million polygons per second. do you think, with truform enabled it will be 64x17 million? No, there are still 17 million rendered. Sure that there will be a performance drop. There is no fiasco. the best graphics card today isn't the best tomorrow. this should be clear for everyone. If you continue like this, we can go on and say : the AMD XP SSE fiasco -> 3dnow a gigaflop faster in the same operation. or the new P4 Hyperthreading -> doesn't even supports SSE3! and so on. that's life, we can't have today the things we want for tomorrow. I also want a graphics card which can render lord of the rings the two towers (with TRUFORM!!). and a processor which creates a big povray animation in realtime. but I don't have it. an when I have things like that, I want something which projects everything directly to my brain. that would be cool.
