my 9800 Pro dies last week, I would have considered buying a X700, but since ATI chooses to ignore all of the current AGP owners I bought a 6600GT instead. And, I've been very impressed with the 6600GT performance, very nice card with a very nice price!

ATi were dissing AGP owners hoping to force/thinking people would switch quicker to the new PCIe format, but they discovered their mistake and got their bridge chip working. The X800 XL AGP is a hell of a gaming card and a hell of a value, and I'm glad they put out an AGP variant of it. I'm just hoping the put out an AGP R520. :?

Value? Those things are still way over $300 at NewEgg. I got a 6600GT at NewEgg for less than $200. Now thats value.

The cards aren't in the same class, the X800 XL can beat a 6800 GT.

Wow you just wasted 200$.. A simple RMA to ATI and you would have a new 9800 pro (with large chances of it being XT core).
