well i have heard different shit on how to do it and the only way i was able to do it successfully every time...some 20+ xp cpus now is to use defroster repair paint ...permatex and loctite both make it and i ahve used both...i fill the lazer cuts with bondo(yeah you heard right, body filler) then apply the defroster grid repair paint...its highly conductive and works everytime conductive ink is worthless for this

defroster grid repair paint has graphite in it. That's why it works. For filling the wholes you can use various things (the article covers some of the materials that can be used). Conductive ink works here as well (the article shows it work) - it doesn't matter what kind of conductive material you use as long as you apply it correctly.

well i couldnt get conductive ink to work adn i tried several times early on when the xp first came out...then i tried the defroster grid repair kit and that has worked every time..the application method was the same for both...as for bondo it works well does not bleed is easily seen dries fast and any excess can be removed with a razor
