Today TweakTown compare the performance of two new ATI Radeon high-end graphics chips - the Radeon X800XL & X850XT through retail cards from GeCube. After examining each card we compare the performance of each against an nVidia GeForce 6600GT and 6800 Ultra which are what ATI's new cards are aimed at competing against. So, will it be nVidia or ATI in your gaming system? Read on and find out!
The Pentium M on the desktop: DFI's 855GME-MGF
Now comes DFI with exactly what we've been asking for: a desktop motherboard for the Pentium M. The DFI 855GME-MGF transcends boundaries by offering Pentium M support in a microATX mobo with an AGP slot and some decent overclocking options. But can the Pentium M really go toe to toe on performance with the Pentium 4 and Athlon 64 when paired up with desktop hard drives and video cards? We've gathered up a Pentium M "Dothan" processor and an extensive array of competitors, ranging from an Athlon 64 3200+ at 2GHz to a Pentium 4 at 3.8GHz. Read on at TechReport
DFI nForce4: SLI and Ultra for Mad Overclockers
AnandTech have posted their review of DFI's nForce4 SLI and Ultra boards! Here's snip.
If you then throw in the fact that all the DFI nForce4 boards from the $140 UT Ultra-D to the $200 LANParty nF4 SLI-DR are based on the same PCB and use the same BIOS, the story becomes even more interesting. Those simple facts mean that all of the DFI boards perform the same, overclock the same, and contain the same pair of x16 PCIe slots. This allows even the bottom-of the-line Ultra-D to run 2 PCIe video cards in x16/x2 mode at about 90% the performance of full-blown SLI.

Evercool WC-202 Watercooling Kit Review at 3DXtreme
About a year ago we had the opportunity of reviewing the WC-201 which was a decent all-in-one unit for watercooling. We did a little modding to the unit and brought it to a point where it would perform much better in it's capacity. We mentioned some of our concerns to Evercool and I'm sure others did also and they have since updated the unit with the WC-202 that 3DXtreme has the pleasure of reviewing today. Our main focus of this review will not be to look at it completely as we did the WC-201, but to highlight the updates and to show performance of the unit in our modded setup. So without further ado, let's take a look at the WC-202...
70$ Hardware Based MPEG2 Encoding PVR Card Review
Hauppauge has decided to give the consumers a bit of choice with their latest lineup of capture cards. You, the consumer, can purchase three different versions of their PVR-150 capture card, and HTPCnews is taking a look at the new low profile (l.p.) version today. Many may think that the 150 is inferior to the 250 since its number is lower (and the price), but we recommend you read the review and make up your mind for yourself. Coming in at a price of only 70$ at many places online and offering a better D/A conversion than their already famous PVR-250 could help this card make its way into many PC's.
Swiftech H20-120(Rev. 3) Liquid Cooling Kit Review
OCIA.net has posted a review of the Swiftech H20-120(Rev. 3) Liquid Cooling Kit.
Now it's time to install the radiator. The first step is to install the PCI bracket. Choose a spot that won't interfere with any of your AGP/PCI cards. You'll notice a little notch that is beside on of the holes on the PCI bracket. This is for the 120mm fan power wire. I chose to not use this slot as there were no fan headers near where I installed the bracket. I instead routed mine in an opening above the AGP slot.

Danger Den has partnered with Midwest Cooling Technologies to bring two non-conductive cooling liquids for the H20 Enthusiast: MCT-5 and MCT-40 are premixed, non-conductive, and with significantly lower freeze points then water. They even fluoresce under black light. A performance review can be found here.

GeForce 6200 TurboCache Review @ Beyond3D
The NV44 powered GeForce 6200?s complete NVIDIA?s initial line of NV4x based graphics chips, all featuring Shader Model 3.0 capabilities. Whilst NVIDIA had previously released on ?GeForce 6200? configuration, that was based on NV43, whereas NV44 brings NVIDIA?s ?TurboCache? technology to the market.
HEXUS.review - XFX GeForce 6600 GT Dual-DVI
When looking for a new graphics card, many of us follow a two step strategy... 1: Find a card with performance we like, and 2: Realise we can't afford it. So, once step two sees us firmly on the ground again, we start to look for a good combination of performance and price. XFX might have the answer, with their nVidia GeForce 6600GT based card. The 6600GT in itself is at a great spot in the market, but XFX have increased memory speeds by 20%, resulting in a very appealing card. HEXUS.net have a review.
Leadtek GeForce 6600GT PCI-E & AGP Reviewed @ GD
Gamers Depot has a review up of LeadTek's latest 6600GT cards!
If you do choose the PCI-Express path, you?ll be glad to know that there is full support for SLI ? in fact, we?ll show you SLI benchmarks in this review. Because the 6600GT GPU was deigned to be native PCI-E, the AGP version does use an internal bridge-chip. Both cards run at the stock 500MHz core/memory speed, have eight pixel pipelines, and three vertex shaders. This setup allows the 6600GT series to oust ATI?s X700 Pro in most benchmarks ? making it the best card going for the money.

XGI Volari V3XT Card Review
BigBruin has posted a review of the 128MB XGI Volari V3XT Graphics Card :
If you are looking for a budget solution for multimedia or home theater applications, the XGI Volari V3XT is an excellent option. The processor runs cool enough to only need passive cooling, and the silence is ideal for an HTPC situation where even the faintest hum of fans may interfere with video or music playback.

CTX International X701A 17 Inch LCD Monitor w/ Speakers Review @ Tweaknews.net
If you are looking to upgrade your monitor, I would recommend this one without hesitation. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of the more expensive monitors on the market, but for the price of about $225-260 you absolutely cannot go wrong with the CTX X701A.
It is cheap, at 14ms response latancy it is a very capable gamer, did I mention it is really cheap? This will be one of the smartest investments you will make for your desktop.

nVidia SLI Technology ? Introduction and 6800 Ultra Performance
Quote:"We finally get our chance to setup an nVidia SLI system with two GeForce 6800 Ultra graphics cards and see just what type of performance we can expect from this expensive yet impressive setup which deserves respect. Since this is our first SLI article we look into what exactly SLI is, what it stands for, how it works and everything else we think is important and then get straight into the benchmarking to see what we can come up with." Gigabyte 3D1
We all know that SLI is back and already we're seeing various companies make wonderful adaptations of it. Gigabyte have put two 6600GT cores onto one PCB and joined them via the SLI interconnect, resulting in SLI on a single card. We've seen similar efforts in the past that have failed, but in the very least Gigabyte stand a fighting chance this time around. HEXUS.net check out the 3D1.
Enermax CS-718B Maxflow Case Review at 3DXtreme
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme.net - Enermax CS-718B Maxflow Case.
"We enjoyed reviewing this Case, some of the high points are the screwless drive rails, top USB ports, quiet 120 mm cooling, LCD with temperature and RPM readout and the overall classy, stylish look of this particular Case. Also, the included Enermax 465 Watt Power Supply that delivers as much power to each of the rails as any $100+ Power Supply Unit would. The only real downside to this Case is that not all Motherboards will work as advertised, you may not be able to mount the wind tunnel or may have issues with cable lengths."
