Just got word that overclockersclub.com have completed a review on the Lian Li 70 case!! Here is a quote from the review: I must say, that this case is huge! I have seen pictures on the Internet, but pictures don't really show how big this case really is. When I compared it to my Full Tower In-win 500, it's 1/3rd bigger! Like they always say, "Bigger is Better" Since this case is bigger, your system shouldn't get as hot, as it has more room to breath.
Gigabyte Radeon 8500 (Maya AP64D-H) Review!
Well this is a welcome read on Sunday morning - enjoying a cup of coffee. Digit-Life has received a Gigabyte sample of their Radeon 8500 based graphics board the Maya AP64D-H. The Gigabyte version comes with Hynix 3.6ns memory and is clocked at 275/275 Mhz. What almost makes me weep is that the Gigabyte board comes with such a decent & cool looking HSF solution:

Globalwin Tak68 HSF Review @ OverclockersClub!
I received an email from OCC that they have finished the review of this innovative new HSF: the Globalwin TAK68. It is a rather unorthodox looking design, but it incorporates some features that really make it shine. Here is a snip of the review: The double sided areas of fins allowed Global Win to use a very non traditional clip. This clip, without question is the best clip I have ever seen, heard of, or used. Not a little better but A LOT BETTER. I cannot over emphasis this. To install the sink, you clip the catches over the socket lugs. All six socket lugs I might add. So you guys with broken center lugs on your favorite mobo take notice. Once the clip is on, you tighten the knob on top of the heatsink. This simple screw presses down on the sinks top pulling the clip up to provide for a firm snug fit. Click on the pic to warp to the review.
Volcano 7+ HSF Review!
Computer Chaos has just posted a review of the latest and greatest cooler from Thermaltake, the Volcano 7+.
Here's a snip: This new Thermaltake Volcano 7+ Heatsink comes with an Everflow variable speed 70 mm fan. This new fan setup allows us to choose between 3 different fan speeds. The 3 way switch attaches to a molex connector as well as the CPU fan header on your motherboard. I am curious to see just how quiet it is on the low speed setting in comparison to the 6000 rpm high speed setting, and how the performance will change with the varied fan speeds.

eVGA Geforce4 MX 440 Review!
3dXtreme.org has a review about the eVGA Geforce4 MX 440 online.
Here“s a blurb:
While the Geforce4 MX 440 is directed towards the casual/budget gamer market there is no doubt that this card can perform. For the serious gamer I would suggest waiting for the release of the Geforce4 Ti 4600 with it's pixel and vertex shaders and full dx8.1 compliance. The difference being a hefty price tag. This card is a clear step up for any Geforce2 mx user looking to use full scene antialiasing in games and dual monitor support with the nView package. I have been using this card for almost a week now and even after hours of heavy gaming this card didn't miss a beat. I had been playing some extended late night sessions of Red Faction online and the Geforce4 mx 440 never crashed or faultered once. Even the suite of Geforce demos sent along by nVidia ran flawlessly Read the complete review

Envy News Reviews The Visiontek Xtasy 6964!
There are already reviews online about the VisionTek Xtasy 6964, and for that matter reviews on the entire line up of the Xtasy offerings. So what is going to make mine different than all the rest? Well, I am going to be using the Digital connection rather than the Analog one. I have yet to see the performance of the card with anyone using the DVI connection. I am not going to be stacking this card up against any other Video Cards, but rather showing you what you can expect with a similar setup as the one I used in the tests, and the results of using the DVI connector.
Envy News Reviews IRman!
I found this out over a year ago when I stumbled across a website explaining the function of a small, innocent looking black box. No, this device wasn't designed to compromise a remote host, to break a bank combination, or to get free cable. This black box is simply designed to make your life a little bit easier and fun when it comes to using your computer. What am I talking about? I'm referring to the IRman, an incredibly affordable device that allows you to totally control your computer by infrared remote control.

Prolink GeForce 4 MX 440 Review!
As it becomes clear that the GeForce 4 MX series is a controversial piece of hardware regarding the performance - capabilities context one should consider buying something else than Nvidia in the lower price segments. Anyway here is a snip of it which makes my statement clear: While testing this board, I was rather concerned when I discovered that it had no hardware support for DirectX 8. While this isn?t a huge issue right now, there are some games getting ready to hit the streets that will require this feature to get the best performance in the game (can you say Doom III?). It also doesn?t support per-pixel shading either, so again, some of the newer games getting ready to come to market won?t play at their best on this board. Read the review @ TweakTown
Antec SX-10XX/Frozen Silicon CS-601 Midi Server Case Review!
We looked at the midi server case CS-601 'blue' of Frozen Silicon. Frozen Silicon is a german PC peripherals manufacturer and this is one of their most sold PC cases. Compared to products from Lian Li or Coolermaster this case has a much lower price tag to carry so it might be an interesting shot for those who don't want to spent a fortune on such a high-end case. Nonetheless the CS-601 offers various features that it can keep up with Lian Li or Coolermaster products. Check out the Antec SX-10XX / CS-601 case review here For our german readers we have a translation over here. Update: It seems the case is only sold as a CS-601 here in Germany. It is in fact originally manufactured by Antec INC.. Just thought to let you know.
Asus A8170DDR GeForce4 MX440 Review!
t-break has published a review for the ASUS GeForce4 MX440 card and compared it against the MSI Ti200. Here's a bit from it: Now there are quite a few versions of the Detonators floating around, however, we've used the official 23.11 as well as the 27.20 for the GF3 Ti200 and the 27.00 (WHQL Certified) and 27.20 for the GF4 MX440. The older 23.11 drivers don't recognize the newer GeForce4 cards and the 27.00 drivers don't recognize the older GF3 cards, which is why we've used 27.20 for both the cards along as well.
Adobe Photoshop Vs. Ulead Photo Impact!
CNET took two interesting image editing tools to the ring and let them battle it out in terms of features, usability and performance.
Photoshop is the professional standard application used by journalists, photographers, artists and companies selling @ an estimated price after rebates of $559.99.
Photo Impact instead is targeted @ the ambitious home user or hobbyist. This value priced software ($89.95) handles digital photo processing, Web graphic design, and general graphics like pro software. It also offers pretty decent features like post-scanning editing or simply displaying the image size in the title bar of the current pic. I for myself am going with PhotoImpact. Users can check out the full article on image editors @ CNET.
