We are closing in so to wrap everything up, I'll start from the beginning. The long awaited SM3.0 support has finally landed on ATi cards. All X1K products support this shader model though obviously not every card will perform the same way. The Zalman ZM460 is not the prettiest PSU I've ever seen. It has no fancy gizmos or modular design. What it does have, however, is performance. I've had a wide variety of power supplies come through here and I can't honestly say that any of them have performed better than the ZM460. The Lamborghini of computers. A computer that was built with only gaming in mind. Gone are the days of looking at minimum requirements. Those days are gone! The Aurora ALX is one extreme system, but it comes at a premium.

At this point the Zalman CNPS9500 bowed out. It was able to prime the Opteron 146 up to 2.90 Ghz but was unable to maintain prime stability any further while using the CNPS9500 - consider this that it was a closed case environment. We've seen results showing the Zalman CNPS9500 excelling on an open bench, I don't consider an open bench environment a computer - it needs to be in a closed case for me to really accept cooling figures.

Logitech began their rechargeable 'cool' line of products with the MX700 mouse. Logitech wanted to innovate something different by keeping people from replacing batteries. MX700 was an awesome mouse, however it lacked those gaming features that people needed and MX700 mouse was never really a gaming mouse from the start.

Although it may be a bit late to be taking a look at this board now, as ATI's next generation X1000 series of graphics cards have been announced and released, it still looks as though there will be no high end AGP versions coming to market, which currently still leaves the X850 XT Platinum Edition as ATI?s highest performance AGP board produced.
