HIS IceQII Radeon X800GTO Turbo PCI Express Videocard Review @ Tweaknews.net

Published by Newsfactory 0

The X800GTO from HIS in my point of view would be a perfect performance mainstream oriented gaming card that will handle any current game on the market and will easily toy with most games when overclocked. The overclocking potential in this card is fantastic and seeing that HIS has strapped on such a great cooling solution, you can squeeze out every last Mhz without turning your card into a peripheral cinder.

Inno3D 7800 GT @ PureOverclock.com

Published by Newsfactory 0

Overclocking both the 7800 GT and GTX is a little bit more complicated than usual. This is because there are three different clock speeds to deal with - the vertex, shader and ROP clocks and these are all controlled by the root clock. The root clock is the one you will be tweaking in overclocking tools such as ATI Tool or Riva Tuner. When you adjust the root clock, you actually adjust these three clocks.

Sound cards are not something we at NordicHardware test as thoroughly as motherboards, graphics cards or processors. Sound cards can sometimes be almost forgotten when looking for the perfect benchmark results. Surely, it is hard to quantify sound card performance in the same way as we measure our other components, but it doesn?t make it less important.

Swiftech Apex Watercooling Kit

Published by Newsfactory 0

OCIA.net takes a look at the Swiftech Apex Watercooling Kit in their latest review.

The results here blew me away. Using the OEM air cooler on the 7800GT, idle temperatures were never under 42° C sitting idle over night, on a cold night. Average idle GPU temperatures dropped from 46-50° C to just 31° C. With the OEM cooler the GPU would reach temperatures of 70° C under load. As you can see in the graph, even when running 1.7v through the CPU (in turn raising the overall temperature of the fluid in our system) the GPU only reached 42° C.
