FIC AN11 Stealth Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

Today nvmax.com will be looking at FIC's version of the KT266A mainboard, the AN11 Stealth!

The KT266A chipset has been out for a while now and is starting to take a backseat to the newer KT333. While the latest Athlon processors 'don't really' support that high of a FSB the KT266A is still a popular choice for people looking to build new systems. When choosing a new motherboard there are many things that people take into consideration before laying down their hard earned money on a piece of hardware. Company/reputation, performance, features and price are the main factors behind most peoples purchase.

XtremeDDR PC3200 RAM Review!

Published by [NT] 0

At last, a company that would rather have a great product, at reduced production, then having an OK product at increased productions. Now XtremeDDR may do this for a number of reasons, firstly for the reason of quality. In the relatively small demographic of PC overclockers having just one or two people saying bad things about your product can have devastating effect, just look at OCZ. A lot of people thought that their RAM was a great product until few people had a bad experience with them, and now I don?t know anyone who will buy OCZ ram. With this in mind XtremeDDR has gone for the fewer sales, less complaints option which will in the long run make them more money. Click on Read More... for a link to the review

TweakHound Reviews BackUp MyPC from Stomp Inc.

Published by Newsfactory 0

TweakHound has a new review of Stomp's BackUp MyPC v. 4.81. This new version has WinXP support.

BackUp MyPC is an easy to use and effective backup utility. I was surprised that the new XP support worked so well. I like the fact that you can set a schedule to backup your stuff while you aren't around and on a regular basis. I also like the option of doing a full or differential backup.

Creative Extigy review

Published by Newsfactory 0

Just got word from AC @Nvmax.com that their Creative Extigy review has been posted and is ready for your viewing pleasure. here's a snip.

The small plastic black box (8"w, 7.75"d, 1.75"h) has been designed to sit near flush on most tower cases but is also supplied with two brackets for upright mounting. It is rather lighter than expected. The front houses optical in and out sockets for data transmission to audio equipment such as Minidisk, a line in, a microphone in (wrong size should be a full size jack), headphones with balance control, master control, a quick CMSS button (this gives wrap around 5.1 sound from conventional two channels), a standby button and four LED's indicating power on, remote control receive, using digital and CMSS enabled

LITEON_CDRW 40x12x48 Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

Just got word from David Solomon @Nvmax.com that he's posted their LITEON_CDRW40x12x48 Review! Here's a snip.

I was very happy with my old 8X CDRW. It was not the fastest burner in the world, but it has run well for many years. I paid a lot for it and really didn't want to invest that much money again just to burn CDs. Let's face it. We really do invest a lot of money into computer components when we buy them and the depreciation is terrible. I knew that once I started looking again, I wanted to get a good one with a company that supports it well. Many of my friends went out to get the top-of-the-line drives, so I headed over to try them out. They were all nice, but some were a little pricey

Just got word from Aron @ASElabs.com that he's just posted his exclusive review of Gyration Ultra Cordless Optical Mouse.

You must be thinking why I really like this mouse so much, or maybe not... First off, it is totally wireless. This mouse has no problem whatsoever and not having the damn wire is one of the greatest things since sliced bread. That's all well and good, but this is more than just an ordinary wireless mouse. This one has the very unique feature of being a handheld pointing device! No more do you need to be tied down to that desk anymore to browse the internet or navigate on your computer

Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce 4 Ti4600 Review

Published by [NT] 0

Hell what a nice looking card !!. The review is a bit older but I think you haven´t seen it yet. Radiativenz.com have written a review about the Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce 4 Ti4600 grahpics card.
Here´s a bit:The card sports 128Mb of Samsung 2.8ns DDR, which equates in theory to a max speed of 714Mhz. The default speed of the GeForce 4 Ti4600 is 300 Core/650 Memory, so they are giving you a little overclocking headroom here (in theory anyway). It will be interesting to see just how fast we can get her purring later on.... Head over by using the above shown link!

Vantec IceBerq Chipset Coolers Review @Overclockercafe.com

Published by Newsfactory 0

Ever since the Tt Crystal ORB came out, it seems like what activity there was in the VGA and chipset heatsink market dried up. Vantec saw this and has stepped up to the plate with their IceBerq chipset coolers. There are two models, the CCB-A1A that is made of aluminum and the CCB-A1C that is solid copper. Aside from some trendy colors that we will be looking at in a minute, both these coolers are low profile to keep from blocking the use of a PCI slot.

AL 555 L Aluminum Case Review @ BurnOutPC

Published by [NT] 0

BurnOutPC has written a review about the AL-555 L pre-modded aluminium case.
Here's a snip:
This case is pre-modified, and really really looks sweet. The windows are secured onto the case with screws, and they add a special "totally finished" effect to the case. There are not 1, not 2, but 3 windows on this case, normally nobody would add a window on the right door, but this case has it! Read the whole review over here.
