Notebook Mouse with Poor Ergonomics But Solid Performance

Published by Newsfactory 0

Yet another addition to Logitech?s line of wireless notebook mice is the V200, which is a predecessor to the V500 ? a superior product in general. The V200 comes at a significantly lower price tag than its successor, but with that you are also sacrificing a refined ergonomic design, though you get excellent performance for general applications. The V200 has about a yearlong battery life with a 2.4GHz of frequency for the wireless technology.

AMD's Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Processor @ TechReport

Published by Newsfactory 0

When we first reviewed the Athlon 64 X2 processor a few months back, we said that it was an outstanding CPU, but we wished out loud for AMD to start selling a 2GHz version of the X2 at a lower price. After all, we argued, Intel's Pentium D 820 is a killer deal at just under $250, while the least expensive Athlon 64 X2 costs over twice that. Sure, the X2's performance might well justify the price premium, but we'll take more for our money when we can get it.

ECS, Hybrid Motherboards and The Future!

Published by Newsfactory 0

After initially evaluating the board?s layout and what ECS has in mind for its hybrid motherboard, I must say that the PF88 has limited potential. That potential may not be for the extreme overclockers or enthusiasts, but it?s for the average system builder with slightly above average features in the BIOS. I am certain ECS won?t completely degrade the quality or limit the extreme BIOS options of its "Extreme" line of motherboards with the PF88, so expecting a 100 percent disappointing enthusiast board wouldn?t be true, or vice versa.

Gigabyte G-Power Cooler Pro (GH-PDU21-MF) Review @ ExtensionTech.net

Published by Newsfactory 0

Gigabyte, a name you'd come to think of as a motherboard company, has been diversifying themselves over the past few years. Video cards, wireless networking, laptops, even HSF's, and there are many more things that I didn't mention. We'll take a closer look at one of their HSF's, the G-Power Pro cooler. Sporting support for pretty much any mainstream system board out now, it sure could be a great HSF now, and it'll probably handle your next mainboard upgrade as well later. If that sounds remotely enticing, continue on for the review...

CoolerMaster Aqua Trident & Aqua Turtle Waterblocks Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

OCIA.net takes a look at the CoolerMaster Aqua Trident & Aqua Turtle Waterblocks in their latest review.

The bottom of the block is coated with a gel thermal pad. This will help to form into the crevices on the bottom of hard drives and improve thermal conductivity between the copper block and the hard drive itself. Theoretically, it would be possible to replace this with a non-conductive thermal paste like Artic Alumina. However, as we will see during testing, the included thermal pad does a significant job of reducing hard drive temps as is, so Cooler Master have obviously done their homework on this one.

ECS PF88 Extreme Intel/AMD Hybrid Motherboard Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

ECS is really starting to get attention in the enthusiast segment with its latest line of Extreme motherboards. Though they are not exactly "extreme" in terms of overclocking, the affordability factor and stock performance of the board makes it a desirable option for the non-overclockers. Not only is ECS entering the enthusiast market with Intel and AMD platforms, but the company has actually come up with a very intuitive concept of combining both platforms onto a single motherboard.

Lately, illuminated keyboards have become very popular with the gaming and mainstream communities. From glow in the dark keys, to LED backlight models to almost everything in between. The popularity of these keyboards are due in part to the over-all look and functionality in low lit or dark rooms such as LAN Parties, late night frag fest. Finding the input keys from a new game title or a late night surf session in total darkness has never been easier thanks in part of keyboards like the Sunbeam Pro-Series Illuminated Keyboards.

Very cool effect indeed. I went ahead and emptied the contents of the bottle into the reservoir, replaced the cap and slid the reservoir back into place. Once the system was powered on, it only took a few moments for the dye to circulate throughout the system.

Aspire X-Cruiser Blue Gaming Computer Case Review @ Tweaknews.net

Published by Newsfactory 0

Let's face it; the first thing you notice about a computer case is its appearance. The problem with evaluating a product's appearance is that appearance is very subjective. What one person may find attractive, another may not. So here's my impression of the X-Cruiser. Aesthetically, Aspire has done a great job with the X-Cruiser. While I'm not a big fan of cases with doors, I really like this case. It has a good paint job, comes in several colors, the window is well executed and I find the external door's retro-deco styling very appealing. Aspire has clearly spent a lot of time and effort to make what is essentially a ?stock? steel case into something special.
