DFI Lanparty Freezer

The Freezer coolers are made from Copper and Brass. The Brass has a clear coat finish, for a nicer visual appearance. They are the only available coolers which fit on an SLI system with 2x6800 Ultra/GT (with Innovatek NV40 or Alphacool NeXxos NVXP-2), or 2x6600 non-GT/GT (with flat cooler). On non-SLI systems the cooler should fit with any video card (except with VGA Silencer etc.).

Arctic Cooling Freezer 4 & Freezer 64 Cooling Solutions @ HWzone

Published by Newsfactory 0

The traditional air cooling has, apparently, reached the end of its road, since there is a limit as to how much one can cool today's "Watt Machine" using a block of metal and a fan. As a result of this limitation (and a natural desire of exploration), various alternative cooling solutions have spread in the past years, such as water cooling systems, Peltier based cooling and even gas cooling. However, these radical cooling solutions suffer from two major drawbacks that prevent them from being adopted by the mainstream market: Price and safety. Not only does buying such a cooling solution require "deep pockets", but it may also compromise the health of the entire computer. The cooling products we'll look at in this review are two out of a series of almost identical products, which are constructed for different sockets: The Freezer 4 is built for Socket 478, the Freezer 7 is built for Socket 775 and the Freezer 64 is built for all Athlon 64 and Athlon FX sockets.

Efficient 64-Bit Mobile Computing : AMD?s Turion64 Processor

Published by Newsfactory 0

Today at GamePC, we're looking at AMD's first concentrated attempt to grab away market share from Intel's Pentium-M. The chip that aims to do so is AMD's new Turion64 processor, a chip which is being marketed directly for mobile users, a chip which is designed with power consumption and heat production in mind. The Turion64, supposedly evoking the concept of ?touring? (AMD?s words), has impressive specifications on paper. The new architecture has quite a lot of features which Intel?s Pentium-M is lacking, including SSE-3 support, 64-bit computing support, and an integrated memory controller, all features Intel?s mobile architecture won?t have for at least another year. Is this AMD?s chance to finally break into the mobile market in a significant way? Let?s find out.

Spire KestrelKing VI Cooler Review & Giveaway at 3DXtreme

Published by Newsfactory 0

Spire has always made some decent coolers and the KestrelKing VI ranks among their better ones. While it doesn?t really rank up there among the top air coolers on the market like the XP90/120?s and Zalman?s it does certainly outperform the stock AMD cooler. The Spire KestrelKing VI cooler wasn?t terribly loud, overall we do recommend this cooler as a replacement for the stock AMD64 cooler or if you are shopping for an OEM CPU.

Thermaltake Kandalf VA9000SWA Silver Aluminum Computer Case Review @ Tweaknews

Published by Newsfactory 0

Thermaltake calls its new Kandalf case ?The Super Tower? and with good reason. Not only is it super sized, it has tons of super features that really set it apart from the crowd. I really can?t say enough good things about the Kandalf. While the $200 price tag may put it out of reach for some, Thermaltake gives the buyer that can afford it lots and lots of very nice features and I would consider the Kandalf to be worth every red cent. It looks great, has superb cooling and was a dream to work in. The BTX upgrade kit and the ability to easily install a water cooling system are very nice features and add a bit of future-proofing that buyers really should consider nowadays.

Uneed International X15e 7 inch TFT HTPC Case Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

This is a review of the latest case to hit the HTPC market that includes a 7 inch Touch Screen display and solid aluminum construction... Pretty slick.

The Uneed x15 case certainly is unique and fairly well designed case. The touch screen was a great add on that really makes this case stand out from the rest of the market and even allows you to put your own personal touch on, as I did with the Konfabulator widgets. This is by no means an average case and can house just about anything you wish to put in it.

SCAN 3XS ISOTOPE System @ HEXUS

Published by Newsfactory 0

The ISOTOPE chassis is much like Marmite; you will either love it or loathe it. I must confess, having first seen it on display at the recent CTS show, I was set against it. Too many hard edges and too much internal activity. However, it's the kind of chassis that grows on you ... it becomes a talking point as much as anything else, and if you're the kind of enthusiast that likes to have something look a little different, the chassis, with its pre-distressed look and colour choice, is a real alternative to regular SFF PCs.

Revoltec Liquid-Icer Rev.2 Water Cooling Kit review @ XtremeResources

Published by Newsfactory 0

XtremeResources has once again turned its mindset to watercooling as our European Hardware reviewer Grace takes the Revoltec Liquid-Icer Rev.2 Water Cooling Kit for an evaluative ride aboard an Intel 3.73 Extreme Edition ES, Prescott N0 core CPU. Grace is modest in her testing of this kit, as she successfully attained a stable 4.7Ghz with this watercooling. What is not mentioned in the review but was published on the XR forums was her cracking the 5Ghz barrier utilizing this kit, hitting 5.02Ghz which is indeed an excellent showing of this EE Prescott P4 on the Revoltec watercooling kit.
