A week or so ago, as I was in London to test ATI's Radeon X700 XT, I had the chance to spend some time with a few guys from ATI's Multimedia group. The Multimedia group are the guys and gals responsible for products such as Radeon All-In-Wonder and TV Wonder. With Theater 550 PRO, the latest iteration of their class-leading video processing ASICs, making its debut recently, the Multimedia guys were in town as part of their world tour, showing off the 550 PRO to journalists, OEMs, systems integrators and anyone with a vested technological or sales and marketing interest in the hardware that'd listen.

Engadget.com have snagged 2 leaked pictures of possible concept designs for Xbox 2.

We?re not sure if these are legit or not, but an anonymous tipster who claimed to be a part of a focus group for the upcoming Xbox 2 sent us some questionable screengrabs of two of the ?logos and console designs being considered for the next generation Xbox system? (that quote according to the focus group material we saw).

As we know already Nvidia announced their Mobile PCI Express Module (MXM) technology which provides a design specification for upgradeable graphics in a notebook. This was announced on May 17. The latest buzz in the processor industry is about dual core processors. AMD may be the first to take the limelight with their announcement of dual core AMD Opteron processors set to launch in mid-2005 but Intel and IBM are cueing up their dual core processors as well.

Today Cameron Johnson over at TweakTown has posted a power supply roundup comparing some of the latest units from OCZ, Thermaltake, Vantec and Coolermaster. We?ll check out the appearance and features of each PSU and then put them up against each other and measure the type of minimum and maximum voltages each is able to deliver with a standard system and then an overclocked system based around an Intel Pentium 4 Prescott processor.

It looks like the Radeon X700 will be an interesting card also. It's doing a 425 MHz core frequency and was running 860 MHz on it's memory. Have a look at the results. BTW I don't have a clue what test system was used and what settings where used in terms of optimizations and such on both cards. Still this could be a nice indication of what to expect of the x700.
