To celebrate the release of Myth III: The Wolf Age, MumboJumbo and Godgames have posted a multiplayer demo! It includes one multiplayer map, and is designed to allow users to tweak their systems in preparation for playing Myth III: The Wolf Age. Monolith has now released a patch for the Aliens vs. Predator 2 multiplayer demo, which is now online and fixes the server browser crash and also adds a few new server browsing features.

Monolith's Jason Hall has sent word to Bluesnews.com that their going release a new 1.0.9.2 patch for the just released Aliens vs Predator 2 multiplayer demo, to address a problem where, at times, the in-game server finder interface might crash when it is faced with a large number of available servers. He also suggests that in the meantime, try playing it through GameSpy Arcade or through the LAN. It's being tested right now, and should be released extremely soon...

The demo includes one deathmatch and team deathmatch map called "A Lesser Fate" that can be played with the Alien Drone, the Predator, or the marines Harrison or Dunya, with a selection of weapons from the full game, and it supports Internet and LAN for up to 16 players.

Beta patch version 1.27 for the Operation Flashpoint has been released today. Version 1.27 Public Beta introduces major rework of the network code that should lead to notable improvement of multiplayer performance. There are a lot of bug fixes as well and not forgetting a new 1.27 beta server patch.

NovaLogic has released the first playable demo of Comanche 4, their upcoming combat helicopter sim. This "first look" demo will expire by November 16, includes one single-player mission, and require a high-end graphics card, but if you're willing to hover your way around all those requirements and disclaimers, then you can download the demo for a reasonable 42.3 MB.
