Bluesnews.com reports about the second-annual worldwide competition which will match up over 400 players on 16 teams over 100 days in an online battle royale to determine the best action gamers on the planet.

The Championship matches will also be broadcast worldwide on the Internet via the Team Sportscast Network and the European Shoutcast Network.

Entcity.com noticed that a new Medal of Honor conversion is out that turns the singeplayer map Snipers Last Stand - City Hall into a multiplayer map.

Here's their notice:

This is a converted map from singleplayer to multiplayer, similar to a "push" game mode. Two teams, three flags, the longer you hold a flag, the more points you get. Closest flag to your base is worth 1 point, the middle flag is worth 2, the enemy flag is worth 3. Points are awarded every 30 seconds. To capture a flag, simply hold use on the flag post for 6 seconds.

The Adrenaline Vault, one of my favourite stops for gaming news has taken Westwoods first 3D based FPS to their testing course. Reviewer Gavin Carter says that ''The custom-built 3D engine manages to hold its own with most current releases. Character skins and environments have remarkable texture detail, and retain the slightly cartoon-like look of the strategy titles. This is no muddy brown and gray Quake 2.". A new video trailer for forthcoming PC game Dungeon Siege has been unveiled at the official site and Gamesdomain.co.uk also have a preview that includes 27 new screenshots.

The minute long trailer shows off the many gaming elements for the eagerly anticipated action RPG, which features vast 3D landscapes, accessible controls and menus and a huge variety of magical beings to control and interact with. Dungeon Siege is expected in April.

Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix is looking better and better every time we get a glance at it. The glance this time comes in the form of a minute long video showing off all kinds of action.
