Another bizarre thing.
I should be logged in but the main page says welcome anonymous. Posting in the forum knows who I am.

I use the Firefox Browser as well as IE.
Normally, the news page (www.warp2search.net) displays everything in IE and only displays the first 2/3 of the articles in Firefox. Not a problem if you visit frequently.

Now I've just found that on this page

Firefox appears to work fine, but IE is missing something!
The very first Link under the General Discussion are is missing.
There should be "Warp2Search Hang Out" but its not there in IE.

Its starting to make sense now.
This post hasnt appeared in the forum.
The Browser I posted it with can see the "Warp2Search Hang Out" link.
When browsed through the same browsers on another machine, neither see this post etc, that link etc.

It seems anything new or updated isnt displayed. Hence the new posts on the news page dont appear either.

If you are logged in you can see everything.
If you arent, you dont see new/updated things
Also when I try and access those missing bits via URL on my other browsers, it wont let me login. Complains user/pswd are wrong.
I hope this isnt an exploit by someone else to get our username/passwords ?

just clear you IE / moz cache and you'll be fine ....
sometimes moz does some strange things ... just check back later when moz is down ... or restart

All of a sudden my 2 PC's have the same problem with Firefox and IE.
The second machine is a pretty new rebuild and hasnt been used for browsing the web but neither browser on this machine can access this post.
Any attempt to even access this post on on a browser that isnt logged in to W2S asks me to login. Surely I should be able to view this post without logging in ?? I cant login either, it doesnt accept my login!

I darent log out of my one browser that is logged in to test this as I may not be able to login again.

I'd say something is wrong, especially as just prior to this W2S wouldnt serve pages (even on my logged in browser), I got the top of the news page and an error saying come back later. This happened for nearly 2 days

It also still calls me anonymous on the front page when I'm allowed to post msgs here and it knows I am Chernobyl.
However, I cant reply to anyone elses messages still. I have seen the post on the news page about the database problem.
Looks like there may have been some corruption too !
ie I cant login and therefore cant reply to front page things, it says no posts for anonymous.

Mertsch, if you are confident theres nothing wrong, can you log out and try logging back in again
