Additionally, a new keyboard shortcut has been added for easier insertion of En dashes (–) and Em dashes (—) while typing. Users can now utilize the shortcuts WIN + Minus (-) for an En dash and WIN + Shift + Minus (-) for an Em dash, although these shortcuts will be disabled when the Magnifier tool is active.
The Windows Share window has been revamped to include a new pinning option, allowing users to quickly access their favorite applications for sharing. Microsoft has also focused on enhancing various aspects of the operating system, including visual improvements for error dialogs and better performance when launching cloud files from File Explorer.
In terms of bug fixes, Microsoft has addressed several significant issues, including:
- Increased bugchecks on Arm64 PCs due to the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error.
- Problems with the File Explorer context menu and icon visibility in the Open With list.
- Issues with icon alignment and text scaling for users with Arabic or Hebrew display languages.
- Synchronization issues with battery icons and focus problems when interacting with app preview thumbnails.
Further fixes have been applied to the Start menu, Display and Graphics, Windows Hello, Voice Access, and the PIX on Windows tool. However, Microsoft is currently investigating reports of malfunctions related to sleep and shutdown functions for some users following recent Canary builds.
