UAC Pass is a portable utility that allows a la carte choosing of administrative rights for specific apps without complete UAC deactivation.

If you find yourself continually prompted for UAC rights on apps that you work with often, then UAC Pass will be a sanity saver not to mention a time saver as well. This utility allows you to enable or disable UAC for the apps of your choosing without entirely deactivating UAC systemwide. Another bonus is once you make your changes in UAC Pass a system restart is not required.

To use UAC Pass, you can drag n' drop a program or shortcut to the uacpass.exe and accept the security exception. From there you will need to select a location for the new UAC disabled shortcut. If and when you want to undo the changes you have made you can send the new shortcut to Recycle Bin. It also includes some advanced options to choose from which can be accessed by double-clicking the executable file. This action will bring up a standard window and disable silent mode, create batch files, enable relative paths, etc.

We have included both 32 and 64 bit for your convenience, but per the author 64 bit is recommended as it has been tested and 32 has not. There are a few customization options available for the interface color as well as always on top, a window position reminder and a log for all tasks created with UAC Pass. UAC Pass will be an asset to users of all skill levels who like to have more efficient control over the administration of UAC rights in a case by case manner rather than one size fits all.
