FxSound is a free app to improve the sound on your computer, whether you are gaming, watching movies, listening to music, and more.

Improving your sound is nothing new in the computer world. Ever since they invented third-party speakers and sound cards, many have tried improving our sound (remember Sound Blaster?). Many of us now live with the onboard Realtek sound cards, which is not bad, but there's always room for improvement.

FxSound has an attractive and easy-to-navigate black and red theme. You can easily select your sound divide (automatically detected) and a category. You can (and should) start by adjusting the equalizer and choosing from the default settings in the general (all sounds) category. You can use the slider to adjust clarity, ambiance, surround sound, dynamic boost, and bass boost.

If you're happy with how everything sounds, you can next adjust the sounds for specific situations, including movies, TV, music, video, gaming, bass boost, and more.
