Creative XP Drivers Install Notes!

Published by

I just downloaded the XP drivers and installed them without any problems. That is, at first...

Off course I needed the drivers because of the errors I got when I installed my drivers from the CD. But to use features like EAX etc, it is necessary to install them from the original CD. So I did that. But at the end, my pc tilted. I had to press the reset button and when I logged in, I got the same Devldr32.exe errors as I had before the WinXP drivers. So what 's the solution?

Make sure you download the drivers to your hard drive (so don't "open from location"), then use the Creative CD to install their software. Maybe your lucky and have no crash, maybe you're not and have to reboot. First thing after the reboot: install the downloaded drivers. I received a couple of Devldr32.exe errors but was able to click OK every time so I could go on with installing the XP drivers. When installed, all bad files should be overwritten and after a reboot everything should work fine. At least, that 's the case here.
PS. I use a PCI512 card

If you experience the same or other problems, or none at all, let me know at the forum.
